03/09/2021: ΗΑΙ PARTICIPATION IN ATHENS FLYING WEEK 2021

The Hellenic Aerospace Industry actively participates in the largest air show of our country, the Athens Flying Week that will take place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September at the 114th Combat Wing in Tanagra.

At the impressive ΗΑΙ stand, visitors will be able to have an up-close contact with critical parts of the F-16 aircraft, which are handmade, piece by piece. The F-16s, which will impress the spectators by flying above Athens Flying Week, essentially start their journey around the world from HAI's factory in Schimatari, as the Hellenic Aerospace Industry is a sub-contractor of Lockheed Martin for the global market.

Two of the F-16 Coproduction program assemblies will be exhibited at Athens Flying Week:

1. F-16 Fuel Closure Side Panel
2. F-16 Forward Section of Aft Fuselage

ΗΑΙ manufactures over 30% of the F-16s for global production. In fact, in the last 30 years, 500 F-16 fighter jets have been flying around the world as a result of the co-production of HAI - Lockheed Martin.

At the same time, in the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, the upgrade of the F-16 Block 52 Advanced and 52+ fighter aircraft to Viper continues unabated. The works on the prototype aircraft were completed on February 5, while five more F-16s have been included in the program, in which the necessary modifications are being made. This upgrade will give the characteristics of a fifth generation aircraft to the fighters of the Hellenic Air Force.

With an aggressive strategy, the highly skilled personnel and high technology, HAI is turning the page, competing with the world's largest aviation industries in equal terms. The visitors of Athens Flying Week will have the opportunity to see the inexhaustible potential of domestic Aerospace Industry.
